Exhibition Match: Giuseppe Colonna VS Steven Crouch
*PPW fans know Giuseppe Colonna to be the Italian Submission Machine in the ring, but what many do not know is that he has a heart of gold. Over the past several months he has been training Flint native Steven Crouch to prepare for his first pro wrestling match. What makes this so unique is that Crouch is an extraordinary man who is totally blind and is part of the founding team of Flint’s chapter of the Federation for the blind, the non – profit that the June 1 event at Iceland Arena will benefit. Crouch hopes that his in ring debut will help raise money for his local charity & he hopes to inspire other disabled people to believe that they can do anything they set their mind to. Colonna has been working with Crouch twice a week and hopes that his upcoming exhibition bout will be used to spread a message of tolerance to those who have disabilities.
5 on 2 Handicap: The Nomads VS Team VIP
*In a shocking turn of events Mr. One Night Only & Dylan Night have put their differences aside, found a mutual respect for one another, and are now a tag team lovingly named Team VIP. After several months of brutal contents between the two the former adversaries are now allies and hope to capture the PPW Tag Team Titles in the future. On May 4th at Fandemonium at Flint Iceland Arena, The Nomads attacked Dylan Night and looked to end his career. Mr. One Night Only came to the ring with a kendo stick. The entire crowd and The Nomads thought that Mr. One Night Only was looking to even the score against Night, but instead he smashed The Nomads up with several kendo stick shots that sent all 5 members of the Nomads to the hospital. Now the newly formed Team VIP will look to take on the entire Nomad crew in a 5 on 2 handicap tag team match on June 1 at Flint Iceland Arena!
Tag Team Title Bout: The Real Rizers VS The Destroyers 2.0
Its been one year since the Real Rizers began their training at PPW’s Development Center at Flint Iceland Arenas. In that short time Samson Real & Tay Rizer have captured the PPW Tag Team Titles and have began an impressive streak of defenses in cities across Michigan. The Destroyers 2.0 features second generation grappler Cobra T.A. teaming up with his protege Freedom Ramsay. Both of these athletes are mentored by Michigan wrestling legend Troy “The Destroyer” Alexander, who traveled the territories wrestling some of the all time greats decades ago. The Destroyers are living up to their name as they have been on a path of destruction leaving some of PPW’s finest tag teams in the wake. Now they set their sites on the Real Rizers. The last time these two teams wrestled The Destroyers nearly took the titles, can the Rizers defend again or is it time for Freedom & Cobra take over the PPW tag team division?
Karam Alame VS Tommy Vendetta
Two of the finest athletes to ever come out of the PPW Development Center will square off in a battle of epic proportions. These super athletes will lay it all out on the line and will guarantee the fans their monies worth. Alame is a 6’4 super jacked wrestling beast who’s power is a sight to behold. His opponent Tommy Vendetta, is a battle tested US Marine who poses a threat from any position. He strikes with precision and flies like an eagle from the top rope. This match will be worth the price of admission alone!
Champions VS Contenders Tag Team Match: DTA – Adam Wick & Aaron Orion VS Gideon Malice & Cody Manning
Don’t miss the Champions VS Contenders Tag Team Main Event featuring DTA’s Aaron Orion & Adam Wick VS Gideon Malice & Cody Manning. Aaron Orion is viewed as one of the top contenders to Gideon Malice’s Michigan State Heavyweight Title. In the past several months Orion has taken Malice to the limit, but has yet to claim the crown. After losing a heartbreaking Last Man Standing Match this past May at Flint Iceland Arena, Orion will have to yet again prove his worth to challenge Malice in July. Adam Wick is one of the top contenders in the Cruiserweight Division and wants nothing more than to bring the Cruiserweight title home to DTA. On June 1 at Flint Iceland Arenas both men get a chance to make a statement, but more importantly they have a chance to stake a claim as worthy adversaries for both champions respective title. Gideon Malice’s 2 year title reign is the stuff of legends, Cody Manning is one of the most decorated wrestlers in PPW history and doesn’t look to end his reign any time soon. Continental Championship Battle Royal featuring the defending champion Father Time
The immortal Father Time is a cancer & stroke survivor who also happens to be legally blind! His incredible journey into pro wrestling has been documented by media agencies nationwide. After returning to the ring Time is ready to show the fans that he’s back and better than ever by challenging the entire locker room to a battle royal where he’ll be putting his Continental Title up for grabs. Any wrestler in the locker room will have a chance to win the title and change the course of their career by being the last man standing among a sea of wrestlers. Can Father Time keep from getting tossed over the top rope or will a new champion prevail? Buy a ticket and take the ride!
Junior Grapplers Pre Show Announced for June 1 at Flint Iceland Arenas
The Junior Grapplers are a brand new, kid only division featuring athletes ranging from ages 5 to 17. The program is the brain child of PPW Founder & Head Coach Xavier Justice. At first the goal was to simply provide a fun program that would get kids active doing something they were passionate about. Justice recognized that kids were already doing wrestling at home with friends and family in basements and backyards. Justice stated that “No matter how much you tell them not to “try this at home” they don’t listen and they do it anyway. Our program gives kids a safe place to learn to do what they love while making friends with other kids that share their passion for pro wrestling.” The program is only about six months old, however it’s been instrumental in building confidence, self – esteem, controlling anger issues, and so much more for the nearly 20 kids who train weekly and perform on live events. The Junior Grappler program has also taken many kids, many of whom don’t enjoy the usual sports a place to be active and get fit. The program also boasts a handful of special needs children who have used wrestling as an outlet to overcome the obstacles they face on a daily basis.
The Junior Grappler program would like to invite all wrestling fans to watch them showcase their newly acquired skills in a special Junior Grappler Pre Event Showcase. The showcase will feature a handful of matches starring The Overtaker, “Global Flyer” Drake, Repentless, Rage, “Revved Up” Raleigh Townsend, “Radical” Eli Roberts, Tank, Mr. Hollywood, The Twisted Kid, Atomic Eve & The Spider Queen, and many more.
